Troutman Pepper is hosting a webinar on corporate finance collateral documents, specifically focusing on security agreements, pledge agreements, and guarantees. The webinar, titled “Collateral Documents II: Security Agreements, Pledge Agreements, & Guarantees,” will take place on Tuesday, February 6 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. ET. The training series is aimed at providing associates with an advanced understanding of the various aspects of corporate finance practice. Bruce Steinert, a partner at Troutman Pepper, and Adrienne Beatty, an associate, will be the speakers for this session. The webinar is approved for MCLE credit in California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

During the session, attendees will learn about the different types of collateral documents involved in corporate finance transactions. Security agreements, which establish the rights of a lender to a borrower’s assets, will be explored in detail. Attendees will also gain an understanding of pledge agreements, which involve the transfer of assets to secure a loan, and guarantees, where a third party agrees to be responsible for a borrower’s debt. The speakers will provide practical insights and tips for drafting and negotiating these documents.

The webinar is open to all corporate associates, with corporate finance associates being particularly encouraged to attend. For those licensed in California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and/or Pennsylvania, certificates will be distributed within 30 business days, and credit for other jurisdictions may be available upon request.
